How war-torn Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest

With exclusive access to Ukraine’s winning entry, this very special program follows Kalush Orchestra from the conflict-ridden outskirts of Kyiv to their triumph in Turin and tells the inside story of how the band’s song “Stefania” struck a chord with viewers across Europe and brought the Eurovision trophy home. Blending traditional folk with hip-hop, “Stefania” was originally written as a tribute to the lead singer’s mother but found new resonance for Ukrainians, becoming an anthem in their war-torn country.
