Rob Rinder and Rylan are setting off on their own Grand Tour. The pair are TV celebrities, friends and men who love the finer things in life. Now they’re going to discover the greatest art treasures in Italy, finding out more about themselves along the way. They follow in the footsteps of Lord Byron, immersing themselves in the art, culture and bad behavior of historic Brits abroad.

Episode 1: Venice
In Venice, Rob and Rylan discover one of the largest works of art in the world.
Rob and Rylan begin their journey in Venice, coming face to face with one of the largest paintings on canvas in the world, Tintoretto’s Il Paradiso. They discover the artistic legacy of Canaletto, before heading to Murano to try glassblowing. Rob attempts to fulfil a lifelong dream by conducting Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, while Rylan discovers the hidden side of Venice’s famous carnival.
Episode 2: Florence
Rob and Rylan get up close and personal with Michelangelo’s David and try delicious offal.
Rob and Rylan arrive in the majestic Renaissance city of Florence, where art changed the world. They set out to discover how Grand Tourists tried to uncover the secrets of the Renaissance, get up close and personal with Michelangelo’s David, sampling the offal food Grand Tourists ate and discovering a pioneering female artist. And Rylan realizes he’s closer to a Renaissance man than he thinks.
Episode 3: Rome
In the city of Rome, Rob and Rylan hear a shocking story of the singers known as castrati.
Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour ends in the majestic city of Rome. Getting into the Renaissance spirit, they turn themselves into a painting by Caravaggio, where David holds aloft the head of Goliath. Then they attempt to get the Grand Tourist look, before discovering the shocking story of the singers known as ‘castrati’ which helps to remind Rylan of some traumatic times on a TV talent show.
